Puppy eating......

My 3-mo old puppy is eating kitty poo. Why is she doing that? I've never had one do that before. Gross! :eek: I thought I would post it here while I wait for morning to call the vet and see what responses I would get here about it and have some ideas why she may be doing this. Gross! Gross! Gross! :eek:

Aren't dogs wonderful!! Mine will any poop as long as it isn't her. She draws the line there. It is totally disgusting but I think very common. Not much you can do unless you can just keep her away from it. Chloe as no access to the cat pan even though it would make cleaning it easier.:rolleyes:

Be grateful, Arlo doesn't eat it but is more than happy to roll in it. Usually the emergency bath in a creek or lake cures him for a while but when he finds a particularly good smell he wants to bring it home.

Dogs love kitty kandy! Who knows why, lol.

You have to get a covered litterbox to solve that problem, since the litter stuck on the kitty poo can clump in your dogs intestines and cause a blockage.

Actually that clumping litter can cause blockage for kitties too. They will lick their paws w/ it on there.

My dog used to do the same thing, but since I switched to the clumping litter she shows no interest. Thank goodness! Yes, according to my vet it is just something dogs do. UGH!
