Neutered Mini schnauzer

Hi, I have 4 mini schnauzers with 1 being a male who was neutered about a year ago. I also have a female who has not been spayed and is in heat. The male is breeding with her every chance he gets. They have been hooked up several times. Is normal for a male that has been neutered? It was my understanding that once neutered they lost interest in females in heat. Thanks,

Hi run2car and welcome :)

Although they can no longer have puppies, they will get that urge if there is a female in heat available. I would probably keep them separated until the female is done with her cycle.
