she is eating rabbit food but in a small bowl. I would say less then half a cup. Its not that big of a bowl and a slice of bread and 4 carrots. I feed her 3 times a day because well I figured breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Im not sure how much she weights but I think maybe around 15 pounds.

I always had food available to my rabbit, she never overate and most rabbits don't. How big of carrots are you feeding, like full size or baby carrots? Rabbits shouldn't have too many carrots. It's better to feed more pellets than carrots, one or two baby carrots or some green veggies should be enough for veggies. Along with some timothy hay too. What kind of bread are you feeding and does she really eat it? Its not necessary and white bread may not be the best for her. Its better to feed hay instead.

I give her 4 baby carrots 3 times a day. which i know now i wont do. I give her white bread for right now because thats what we have and she eats it but she doesnt eat the bread crest. and she doesnt really eat her pellet food, she does eat some of it but then she knocks it over. I was also wondering how much excerise should she be getting???

You should quit giving her bread, that fills her up, she needs to eat pellets for a balanced diet. Timothy hay is better than alfalfa hay, but that will work too. Mostly she needs the pellets, hay and veggies. As far as exercise, rabbits should have about an hour of exercise a day at least. You can put a harness on her so it'll make it easier to catch her or if she will go back into her cage on her own that would work too, just never chase her around to catch her. Rabbits do need time to hop around and run, some will play with balls like my girl did (small ones I tap at her nose and she would hit them back to me) some rabbits like bigger balls that they can have fun pushing around. Mostly if she can just be put in a carpeted room (my girl hated tiled floor because its hard to stand on) they will run and hop around.
Edited to add: I have to disagree with some of what is said on that website such as a rabbit not needing pellets, the pellets give needed vitamins/minerals and unless you are going to compare all veggies and plant life and figure out exactly how much of each plant/veggie you need to give to the rabbit to provide the right amounts of vitamins/minerals you can't give just veggies as a balanced diet. I've never seen a rabbit get fat off of eating mostly pellets, maybe that website is old and maybe rabbit foods used to not be as good, but they need to be on a pellet diet.

WELL, IT DEPENDS ON THE TYPE/SIZE OF RABBIT UR TALKING ABOUT...I A HAVE A NETHERLAND DWARF AND SHE GETS A BIT LESS THAN 1/4 CUP OF RABBIT PELLETS A DAY. SHE GETS UNLIMITED TIMOTHY HAY, AND ON OCASION AS A TREET, A LARGE PINCH OF OATS. SHE REFUSES TO EAT VEGGIES. SHE IS ALSO ALOWED TO CHEW ON AN ALPHALPHA CUBE, BUT SHE DOSEN'T TO OFTEN. SHE ALWAYS HAS FRESH H2O . AS FOR EXERCISE, SHE USUALLY GETS ANYWHERE FROM 4-7 HRS A DAY IN HER RUNNING PEN (IT IS PRETTY BIG, CUZ IT'S ACTUALLY MEANT FOR DOGS!!!!)

I have 3 buns, 1- 3yr old lop, 1- 2yr old Lionhead and 1- 4 yr old Rex Dwarf. Each bunny has a bowl that fits about a 1 cup and a 1/2. I fill their bowls once per day with alfalfa pellets. Whether they eat all at once or throughout the day, that's all they get. (they all nibble at it throughout the day). They also get all the Timothy hay they can eat. It's good for them and can't hurt them. They don't ever seem to overeat it. Plus I give them a bunny salad every day which usuall has: 1 or 2 pieces of carrot, a couple of grapes cut in half, some kale or spinach (fresh), a couple of apple slices.
I don't think bunnies will overeat. Although animals are allot like people, some eat alot and don't gain much, some eat little and gain quite a bit. Others are just hungry all the time and seem to need to eat more than others.
You have to start with basics and see how your bunny is. (basics are 1 1/2 cups pellets, Timothy Hay (not alfalfa hay they get enough of it in the pellets)
The more excercise the better. We let each one, one a time, run around our living room, or our closed in porch (always supervised) about 1 hour a day each.
Some people make bunny runs, a long cage on the ground, with no bottom, at least 6 feet long, the longer the better. With water bottle and snacks of course. They love and neeed to be able to run and jump.
Bunnies need lots of interaction too. But not when their tired...they can get cranky and misbehave and not mean to.:)
