I have heard a lot about cat nip and i have even bought some for my cat but im not sure what its for. he usually won't pay attention to it unless its in my hand. also, today i came home with a new bag of catnip. he went crazy for it. i took the catnip out of the plastic store bag, but i guess he still thought it was inside of it and he went ahead and tinkled on it. can anyone tell me why mickey would do this? he never has before and he is my first cat so there are a few things i still don't know. i found him in may and he was just a small kitten.. i would appreciate the help! thank you! :p

catnip: a good natural treat which makes them silly and gives them excercise, a bit like going out and having a few drinks lol.
I've read and noticed that kittens do not always seem to be affected by it until they get near adulthood. A small percentage never get affected by it or don't like it.
I've used it in the grooming shop to calm a nervous cat. Then too, I've had the *mean drunk* who will bite when they are *loaded*

My cats love catnip, but I found that giving it to them straight was making them puke. I found this toy it is like a pillowcase you put the catnip in it and it zips up. My cats love it. I can't remeber what it is called, but I picked it up at PetsMart and it is made by FATCAT Inc. at www.fatcatinc.com. Good luck.
