Hi everyone,
I am shopping around for a new cage for our GCC and would like advice on what to be looking for. I'm considering the one on link below, the 504AB, but it reads small Iron cages. Does anyone know if iron bars are bad if a bird should chew on them? So take a look and let me know what you think. If you have any sites you've ordered cages from and are happy please feel free to share that info to. Thanks.

Wait wait!! I ordered a new cage for my Lilac Crown about 6 months ago from a store on eBay (I think I can't give the name, right mods?) This guy has every color, style and size I could possibly think of. The best part is that he has the BEST prices I've ever seen anywhere on the internet.

When I ordered it took about 5 days for it to get to my front door. It arrived in immaculate condition and was exactly what it looked like in the pictures.

I would recommend this guy to anyone that is looking for a new cage for their feathered friend.

Here's his eBay store: http://stores.ebay.com/RARCages

My mom has an iron bar cage and has never experienced problems with it but I've noticed in the recent years that the joints are starting to rust. The cage was handed down to us 10 years ago with a 20 some year old cockatiel pair... so I'm guessing the cage is around 30 years or so now.

Thanks for the reply Jonergin. Wow 30 years for a cage must be a record! I know nothing lasts forever, but want something that will at least last more then 2 years. The powder coating on this cage is peeling and chipping -- it was inexpensive as cages go -- but it is relative if you have to replace it every 2 years or so.
