To those of you who read my post awhile ago about my parakeet Kiwi, I'm really sorry I haven't updated. My life has been absolutely insane. He's doing great now, back to his normal, hyperactive self.
One of my other parakeets, Robyn, is now doing the same thing, I think. She was fine until I came into my room today and glanced in. She's kinda puffed up and there's a yellowish stain on her face the suggests she threw up.
I took her out and put her in the hospital cage and have her sitting in the bathroom with a hot shower. I'm making some over-the-counter medicines for her. My mom doesn't want to take her to the vet because it cost a lot of money to have him check on Kiwi and get the meds for him.
Any suggestions on what else I can do for her? This is getting to be too much to take. I'm constantly worried about my birds and I hope no one else (bird-wise) gets it.
I think I'm going to take their cages apart and scrub/disinfect/clean them, plus change their cuttlebones and whatnot.
