Hello and welcome! I am owned by a Sudan-Plated lizard, 3 birds, 3 cats, 4 dogs and 1 ferret. Actually, the Sudan-Plated lizard is my sons' and it's a female (she laid an egg). We have had her for 2 yrs (this christmas) and she's really a cool lizard. There's a picture of her in the "Picture Forum" under "Lizz", if you're interested. Anyway, welcome to this board. I'm sure you'll love it here.
Can't wait to hear more about your gecko!

hey I was lookin into lizards last year and was this *lifts up hand with thumb and index finger 1/2" apart*close to getting a sudan plated lizard, but went with a mountain horned dragon instead. It got sick during a snowstorm when the power went out and i couldn't turn on it's heat lamp so I took it back to the original owners. It got better but I thought it best that it stay with them. I should look into getting another lizard, but first I must find homes for some annoying hamsters....lol....long story

Hello I am currentlyowned by one beautiful green iguana, six assorted fish and one british pit/american black timberwolf breed. I would love to chat about my animals anytime as they are all the sweeteset things that u could ever meet. The dog gets along with all of them and is even a "partner in crime" with the lizard giving her a "helping back" whenever she can't find something to climb up into the strangest of places. If ever I can't find my lizard I just ask the dog where she is and the dog will run around the house looking for her and she will come and get me when she finds her[tail wagging and all] it is the cutest thing u could ever see.

I don't own any but know lots of people that do, and they make terrific pets. My vet thinks they should be the only reptile allowed as a pet in fact, since they adjust so well and are calm and sweet (for the majority). The only problem with people here owning them is that many don't know how to feed & house them correctly. Do you have to get some sort of permit to own a beardie in Australia...and also, do people there breed them?
