Best friends

Pedie and Chico became best buds, fast. They are so funny together. They wrestle and chase each other. After the rough stuff is over, then it's time for grooming. Although Chico doesn't think that it is quite fair that he gives all of the grooming!;) Pedie is fine with the arrangement.

Chico does take his grooming job very seriously! lol He loves to groom and be groomed. That's right, after he grooms me I have to groom him, monkey style. I have to look through his hair for imaginary bugs, find imaginary bugs and pretend to eat imaginary bugs!:eek: The entire time, I have to make a lip smacking sound like he does. (Kind of sounds like kissy sounds).
Here is another "routine". At night he will get in my lap, sit down facing me, stick his feet in my face and that means that I had better get started on his nightly foot massage. Spoiled, huh?

Ciara is as sassy as ever, lol. I have found a wonderful vet that works with the primates at a huge zoo. He has saved my girl from having surgery!!!! He has her on hormone therapy.
Me time???? What is that? Just teasing, my time is with all of the "kids". If not for the critter babies, I would have lost my mind years ago. We have a fairly predictable routine. Makes things so much easier when they all know what to expect. It has been known to get hectic around here at times ;)
I have a military macaw, a b&g, a hahns and a quaker. I rehomed the umbrella (his choice). A variety of cats and dogs, depending on who I am fostering and who has found a forever home. The sugar glider, bunny and rat. Chico and Ciara. I hope I did not forget anybody. :confused:

I understand 100% about what you mean when you say "If not for them I would have lost my mind years ago" They are always there for you and do not demand anything out of you that you can not deliver. They are there when the rest of the world gets crazy, ready to give lots of love!

How is your Quaker? What is his name? I have 2 now, Oliver my green (the picker) and Spanky, my blue Quaker who is about 6-7 months old now and he is just starting to talk....ooooh boy........Oliver is tutoring him :eek: No telling what they are talking about!!!!!

I have thought I would like a Military Macaw but my quota is full now so no more unless it is an emergency temporary!

I love your pictures you post. I was trying to tell my daughter about Chico and Ciara and I could not remember what their species was called. Her daughter(my granddaughter) Veronica is crazy about any of them. She gets on the computer and looks different ones up and studies their habitat and their lifestyle. Veronica is 10 and she is crazy over any animal at all. She is very excited at the moment because she is getting her Chi dog tonight. I can't spell it but I call them the Taco Bell dogs LOL..... It is her belated birthday gift because by the time mommie found out what she really wanted....there were none to be found that were ready to sell.....
