Okay, so they're not really souvenirs - but they ARE from south dakota... read their story in the general bird lovers section...
But here's a couple shots of my babies!

Great chicks! What exactly are they eating in the picture there?

Gramma's duck mash - that's what they're eating. Actually, it's farm-fresh eggs, scrambled with no spices or butter or anything, just plain, and whole wheat bread, some kitten weaning formula, and a bit of water, all blended up to make a thick paste - they love it and they're growing like weeds...

What a cute bunch of chicks! I looked at your photos of your cat and I tell you one thing.........I fell in love with him! That is the prettiest cat and those poses were amazing. 10 pds. huh? He looks like a bundle of love and from the pictures I can tell he is getting a lot of love in return! Thank you so much for sharing!

Krazy4Birds - thanks - I'm in love with him too - he was 10 pounds then - now he's a lean 18 pounds - and his legs just shot out and his feet exploded, so I think we still haven't seen how big he's gonna be... I sure do like him though!!! He's my furbaby when he's good, my furbeast when he's up to no good... hehe

Well, the sad news is, out of our original four mallards, two survived. One had some sort of congenital issue - it never did grow, and eventually just died. The other got in a fight with an orphaned farm duck that we were persuaded to take - I honestly thought they would not do that, but both were rather aggressive - they fought until both the farm duck and our aggressive mallard were dead.

The GOOD news is - tonight, we were sent a hatchling wood duck to raise - and we introduced it to the mallards - and you can see for yourself how that went...

Here's our Mallard's with the wood duck hatchling - the hatchling thinks these two are parents!

Everything that they do, the hatchling does... it's awfully cute...

OMG! They are sooo adorable, we don't get to see baby duck pics on PL very often (if ever). Thanks for sharing them with us, I hope we will see more pics as they grow.
