Hello,
Today, a day before my birthday, my family and I had no choice than to put our 18 year old tabby cat, Puddin to sleep. She has progressively been losing weight loss, she is down to 3.5 pounds. January she was eight. After taking her into the doctors, we found out she has some kind of intestinal cancer, so for the past 6 months she has basically been starving. We decided it was best to put her down. My dad found Puddin when she was 2 months old hiding under the hood of a car. He rescued her and brought her home. I was 2, and received the privelage of giving her a name. She's a brown tabby, and her coloring reminded me of "pudding" but since I was 2, I could only pronounce, "Puddin." Since she was basically living in a car hood, she was very scared. I will always remember the first time she finally came up to sit by me. We have probably a roll of film of it :-) May she, and all our loved pets, rest in peace, and may those they leave behind find the strength in their memories.

Amborsita I moved your post about Puddin here so that people would see it and you would then get replys.

I also wanted to express my sympathy in your loss of Puddin. How wonderful that you had her for 18 wonderful years! What memories you will have. I am also sorry the timing was so bad and it happened the day before your birthday. However the timing of these things is never right because we don't ever want to suffer a pet's loss. Again I am sorry.

When you start to remember and look back at pictures please share those memories with us and post Puddin's picture for us. It would be so nice to see her picture and be able to remember with you.

I too am sorry about Puddin Ambrosita. 18 years is a long time for a cat so she must have been very happy and well loved. You'll meet her again someday over the Rainbow Bridge. Hugs to you.

Ambrosita,
I am so sorry about your precious Puddin. Eighteen years, what a testament to your loving care. Just remember that at The Rainbow Bridge, there is no more pain or suffering.
