I just want to know why my goldfish pull there plants out? Im not sure if there pulling them out because after I feed them the pick up the rocks and move them around. That could be why but im not sure. All I know is Im tired of putting the plants back and covering them up with gravel.

Are they real plants or fake ones?

If they are real then use some larger flat rocks to surround the plant base with. Make sure the rocks are big enough that the fish can't pick them up. That should fix the problem if they're not actually pulling on the plants.

If they are fake then pull them out, dry them off and use a hot glue gun to attach some your substrate to them. This will weigh them down and if they get pulled up it wont look as bad.

Hope this helps you. :p

in a search of food, some fish will uproot plants, this is not uncommon.

you dont need to glue it and make it perminate.

at lfs their are plant weight ties which are really used for live plants, but will work on fake. another reason for not glueing is, u dont really glue anything to the tank, but larger structures, even then so, it is a long process that is messy, unless you know exactly what u are doing.
