My very first Parakeets!

Hi everyone! I'm Colby and I just bought my first parakeet almost a week ago. It is a male (petstore confirmed). He is gettin kinda tame in the cage but on the outside he goes nuts, bites, and tries to fly away.Today, I went to a different petstore and bought a yellow female parakeet and a bigger cage for Pete. I have done as directed and placed them in separate cages side by side.. My question is How long before I try to introduce them to each other.. Any what process do I did to go through if I desire to breed them!!! Please Respond with any advice for me and my wife!!
