hi everyone...
i'm trying to find any discussion about pigs but all of the pig forums i found has nobody~~!! so i suppose this will do..
anyway..i have two pigs right now..one of them weighs about 3kg..around 4months old and the other weighs about 15kg and is about 9months. i know some people thinks these super mini pigs are like mixed breeds which aren't healthy but i think the two of them are fine!!! i'm really not sure which breed they are...but it doesn't really matter. as long as they are healthy.....
they were just suppose to grow around 3-5kg...but my bigger one is probably a mix...and i adopted him for this vet.
i'll show you guys a couple of pix....
this is bibo.....taking a bath...he totally loves it!!

does anybody like or have pigs here?? i really want to find some more information about them (since the vets here don't know anything about pigs)
like any good websites???

thanks a lot~~~

Your pictures aren't showing up. It's just oriental writing on them.

As for your pigs, if they are not litter mates...it may be their breeds that are causing the huge weight difference.

I love pigs, they are so smart. I had one named Bandit that could sit, walk on a leash, fetch and roll over on commend. She loved everyone and was a great pet.

Yours are so cute. Good luck with them

(the pictures are working for me)

the pictures aren't opening on my laptop, either. Must need some patch for them to show up.

I was told that there was no such thing as 'mini' pigs. and if anyone said there was, it just meant they were unhealthy and weren't being fed right. -shrug- but I read that somewhere online, and you can't trust everything you read on here.

The only type of mini pig is a potbelly pig, anything else labled mini is wrong, and is probly inbred and sick.

Hi,
I have a 7 month old mini pig and I love him very much, he is potty trained, listens well, loves to play and be pet, a very good animal. Unfortunately my living arrangements have been changed drastically in an unpredictable way and he cannot live with me for the rest of the year, I have a place for him to live however he would not be able to get much attention and I would not be able to be fair to him. He is not neutered and is very small and would make an excellent breeding pig as well as an excellent pet. I want him to go to a good home, where I can be sure he is taken fair of and happy. As a last resort there is a farm that will take him but I really don’t want to put him there. I am trying to get back just the money I spent on him and selling him for $650.00 or best offer. If you know anyone who would be interested or have any hints on how to find him a good home it would be greatly appreciated as I am very worried about selling him to someone I don’t know. I can be emailed at kap7904@rit.edu

Thank you very much
Kate

For those who can't view the images try right clicking and selecting "view image". It worked for me.
