An old tom cat died and went to Heaven. He met St. Peter who said, "You get one wish when you get to Heaven. What will it be?" The cat replied, "When I was alive, I had to sleep on a cold wooden floor. I want a warm comfortable couch to lie on. " St. Peter said, "Your wish is granted!"
A few days later some mice died and went to Heaven. They met St. Peter who said, "You get one wish when you get to Heaven. What will it be?" The mice said, "When we were alive the lady of the house always chased us with a broom, it would be nice not to have to run anymore. We would like roller-skates so we can ride."
St. Peter said, "Your wish is granted!"
A few days later, St. Peter came by and saw the cat lying on his couch. "Well, he asked "How is your stay in Heaven so far?"
And the cat said, "Oh, the couch you gave me is so comfortable, but I love the "meals-on-wheels" that you keep sending by!":
