We got a little kitty from a friend, it had been abandoned with it's mother and 3 other kittens. The cats were found around Halloween, and we guessed they were 6-8 weeks old. Anyway, she had been doing good using the litterbox, now she has decided to make my bed her place of choice- both #1 & #2, all the time. I don't know if she is using the litter box or not - I can't tell because we have 2 cats. Is she peeved at us, or going on our bed to show us who is boss? Any suggestions? We try to keep her out by closing the door, but at night we 1 or 2 of our kids will come in and sleep on the floor, and she comes in and does her business. HELP! If I have to take the quilts to the laundromat one more time the cat is GONE! (per my husband's directions:confused: Thank you, in advance, for any advice, she is a beautiful kitty, belongs to my 4 year old, and really is a sweetie!

Mickilena.....I wish I could help but I don't know very much about cat behavior. We had a kitten years ago that belonged to our daughter and the cat did the exact same thing.....needless to say my husband did not tolerate this and the kitty did not get a second chance. That next night a dog killed her and I don't think our daughter ever did forgive him. I hope someone can help you. Is there someplace the kitty could be shut up during the night? Good Luck to you

It is possible the other cat has staked out the box as it's own personal property, I had a queen that did that only with another female (even tho all are neutered) The males she shared with fine. My crew has a pee box and a poop box and a spare lol, only used if others are overused in their opinion. I scoop twice a day, but they get picky.

This queen would not permit the younger female access to any of the boxes, I had to get her one of her own. Cats are very particular about their toilet habits.

Good luck.
