Hello fellow pet lovers :D ,
I have a parakeet named Sparky. I'm not sure how old he is because I bought him from a pet-store, but I know I've owned him for two years. I was eating dinner tonight when my family and I noticed that he looked like he was panting (ex. moving his wings up and down, chest moving in and out faster than normal breathing, eyes closed, head up, chest out, bottom area kinda popping outish). We sat there to see if he would calm down but all he did was occasionally move around in his cage, tweet, eat, and go back to his pirching stick.
I'm not sure if anything is wrong with him, just wanna be on the safe side. I once heard that female, aswell as male, birds can lay eggs in the spring time wether they are fertile or not. Is this true? Could my bird be laying an egg or something wrong with him?
Sorry it was long and thanks for your help,
