I don't know what to do! I have a 4 month old Labrador Retriever Mix puppy, I got her 8 days ago. Everything was going great until I sprayed her for fleas tonight!!! I got her a flea collar right away when I got her cause I noticed fleas pretty soon, but tonight I still saw two of them on her so I thought I should also spray. BIG MISTAKE!!! Afterwards I let her go outside in the backyard cause she was itching and I thought it would be better to have her do it in the grass. But now she is so scared of me she won't come back! She runs away from me and made it into the neighbors yard now where she is sitting right now. I tried everything! Food, snacks... nothing will get her close to me! I feel so bad!! If I would have know THIS I wouldn't have done it but it's my first dog so I guess I didn't know better...
What should I do? I can't leave the door open all night, I just don't feel safe enough to do that, especially since my husband isn't home. I'm not sure if she will ever come back inside anyways... But I don't have the heart to close the door just in case she DOES want to come in!
Will she ever trust me again??? Or did I destroy our relationship???
