Hi,
I am concerned about cage size for goffin cockatoo.
Current cage: 20Lx18Wx22H Height is short as there is a gym on top - which bird cannot access unless cage door is open - this can only happen when I am home.
Cage I am considering: 26x19x36 with top opening -perch inserted when I open top for bird to play
The current cage doesn't allow much room once I put in some toys etc. I want to be sure I get the right size on this next purchase.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I would get the biggest cage you can afford. Its their home, and you'll want them to have wing span, and lots of room to play! Unless it is just for sleeping them the smaller one is just fine. Gail

Yes, I'd definitely get a larger one. Try to get one at least three times the lenth of his wing span. I've seen some neat cages on Ebay, and I ordered a very nice one (GA22620) which I've loved for Mortie, my blue-crowned conure, on www.featherfarm.com
They are pretty cheap compared to similar ones, and the shipping is free, at least on the one I got. It's funny, the other day I walked into a bird store and found the exact same cage I ordered but this one was selling for $500, and mine was only $199! I think any of the macaw or cockatoo ones would be perfect for a goffin's.

Hi Jenny,
Found GA82620 on featherfarm.com and am strongly considering this cage for Angel. How long does it take to arrive after ordering? It is exactly like the one I has just looked at the pet store ($239) and was wanting! Just have run it by the "other half" so he is included in on this decision.
Loved this site - thanks for sharing it with us.

Hi! I'm not sure how long it takes to arrive, since when Mortie's came I was on a trip. I don't think it took more than a couple of weeks though. I hope that whatever cage you end up with that Angel loves it!
