Hi folks, I just wanted to let you know last week I had to put my old dog to sleep. She was 15 years old, and had asthma, arthritis and was going blind and deaf. She had a hard time breathing so I had to let her go. She would only eat baby food at the end and on the lasst day I went with her to pick up the last pictures we took together at Walgreens and wet to buy a hamburger then we went down by the Babrasboo River and went for our final walk. I couldn't post this on the rememberance site because it was clossed but I knew I could count on your shoulders to cry on.Thank you all, Vinnie and the spirit of Daisy Mae......:(

So sorry for your loss, shepard! Be comforted, you know she had a good long life, and was loved. That is the best we can do for our furry babies. It doesn't make it easier knowing that you did the right things, you miss her just the same. Hope you feel better soon!

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It's always so hard to get used to when you loose your loved one. Just take it day by day and remember the good times.
Isn't it great to have forums you can share your thoughts, experiences and feelings??

I am so sorry you had to let her go. Big hugs to ya. I have a very old pup now and she doesn't feel real good lately. I am just sick to think of it. You are a good person for giving her peace. Hope she is in a great fun place now with unlimited hamburgers. Take care.

Some friends of mine just recently had to put down their shepherd mix. The wholistic vet is letting them keep her on ice until they get their new house and can bury her there. It is a very difficult thing for anyone. Prayers to all.

I am so sorry for your loss. Remember that Daisy Mae is waiting for you to arrive someday at Rainbow Bridge and in the meantime she is young again and no longer in pain.

I hope you don't mind - but I moved this to Mourning and Remembrance for you as it sounded like that is where you wanted it. Not sure why the site appeared closed.

So sorry for your loss!!! Your Daisy Mae is a lucky dog, though, to have lived her life with someone who took her for rides, bought her hamburgers, and went for walks in the park with her... ***HUGS*** to you... hope you're doin alright.

So sorry for your loss of Daisy Mae, I hope you are going alright, hope you are finding something good to keep you going. You are a special person, and Daisy Mae was a special girl to be loved and looked after by you, please remember that when you are feeling low- you loved her and she loved you how blessed that is to have that, and you done a brave wonderful gesture letting her go when her life was not comfortable. I do know how you feel. Anyway look after yourself.

I'm so sorry you are going through this!! Just take comfort in knowing everything that ailed her here is no longer bothering her at the bridge. She is running and romping and can hear those birds sing to her. Go girl play hard!!! R.I.P. DAISEY MAE!!!
