How do you teach a kitten not to scratch?

I have 3 7-week old kittens... One will be going to her new home in a couple of weeks and the other 2 will remain with me. How do you teach a kitten that scratching people hurts? They want to play rough, but it hurts and I do not know how to teach them not to scratch.

When they start playing too rough....you should end the play session. Also, use toys rather than your hands while playing with them.
