I feel like i've failed, miserably. Me an' my hubby "rescued" a pregnant hamster from the petstore, so that the babies an' her both would have a fighting chance. Now, we've gone from 10 to 6 little ones... she ate one the first day, so i assume something was very wrong w/ it. Then, on day 19, she ate one. And a few hours later, took a bite out of another... Decided we had no choice, so on day 20 we separated the abies from om. NOw two more have died, and i feel responsible... like i should have been able to prevent this someohw. And with yet two more separated out form the other 4 because they look a little "off" and i want to stop whatever it is, if it's contagious, i feel like a failure for sure... Anyway, people who don't care about animals wouldn't understand, but for me, it's hard. I don't like that i wasn't able to fix it for them....

I am so sorry to hear that this is happening, although it is not uncommon for a young mother to eat her own babies.
here is a great link hope it helps and I'm sorry for your losses

Oh, i'm so sorry this has happened. You did give them a chance, don't feel you failed them.
