My new pup

Anyone remember a thread I made about 7 months ago about a dog me and my mom loved, but we weren't ready to get another one. We considered fostering her, but my mom decided against it. Since I moved out I was planning on adopting a German Shepherd. I went down to that petsmart last week to see what they had in the rescue, and to my surprise my girl was still there. I emailed the rescue about her that night and we got chatting. I learned that she was adopted once before and they gave her up because someone that lived with them came back from Japan and they were allergic to her. The person from Japan was the real owner of the house. Her original owner ended up having no place to stay, and he boarded her at a kennel. After a week he said he needed another week, and then they never heard from him again, so she was put in the shelter and the rescue picked her up on her last day. Well I went down there again yesterday, and ended up taking her home.

Her name was Sonic, but I renamed her Shilo. They say she is a shepherd mix. I don't really know exactly what she is. Feel free to make some guesses. She's almost 3 years old. I'll put more pics of her in the picture section.

I'm trying to introduce them slowly. Hayley of course doesn't really care. Shilo isn't really big on them. She doesn't really like other animals unless she knows them so they need some time to get used to each other.

Congrats on getting Shilo! Yes you knew you two were meant to be together. It's nice to see happy ending. Boy is she pretty too!

How big is she? I see no Shepherd, but with her color, face & ears, I think she looks like a corgie mix. Of course that is just MO. Good luck with her!

JustSteph my very first though looking at her was corgi mix too! The picture might be misleading though because of the angle. Shilo is a beautiful girl and congrats on adopting her!
