I'm feeling a bit concerned. I called my vet's office to request a call-in script to the place I order from online. My dog, Sammy, used to be on Revolution and seemed fine with it. After moving to a different part of the country, I switched him to Advantix & Heartgard. Advantix has the mosquito control, which I haven't seen in any of the other meds. Unfortunately, Sammy is allergic to the Advantix, so I wanted to switch him back to the Revolution. The vet's office informed me that they've had many cases where animals on Revolution that they treat still test positive for heart-worm!

Has anyone else heard this about Revolution? Or anything similar for Frontline?

I also dislike giving my dogs toxins. I follow homepathy myself and wonder if there are alternatives to treating heart-worm, flea/tick/mosquito control that actually work. The little bit of research I've done seems to saw that the more common 'remedies' for the dogs preventive health simply do not work.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Hi and welcome :). I've used Frontline for years and have never had any problems. Good luck!

Thanks, Squawks.

My vet called me back and told me that they aren't writing any new scripts for Revolution. They want to wait and see what happens with it. As of now, it is not being pulled off the market - but further studies are being done. He also suggested the Frontline. So, I guess I'll do it with the Heartgard.
