I need some help. I've been looking to buy a chihuahua, but first I have a question My question is, are chihuahua's born with their ears upright ( flat against the head) or are the ears floppy? if so by what age should they be upright

Chihuahuas are born with their ears sort of flopped over. It's hard to say for sure at what age they get upright. I can't remember how old our girl was when her's stood up. They may have already been upright by 4 weeks old when we got her, but I'm not sure. I would think around 8 weeks or so they should be upright, but it depends on the breeding and individual pup also. Don't know if that was much help. lol :)

Chihuahua's ears are floppy until they are done teething, for the most part.

Just a suggestion....You may want to check with your local shelters or rescues for one.....Those little guys are always in need of a forever home....I'm sure if you look into it you'll come across one that's a pup or at least fairly young.
