can i trust her

Can you ever trust your dog to stay around you outside if they are unleashed. Will all dogs run off especially if they see something of interest. I know this is a stupid question, probably but, even if they are trained properly can you really trust them not to. If they aren't trained I guess there is no way you can.:confused:

Personally I would never have any of my dogs off lead in an unfenced area unless it was very deep in the country with no roads or other hazards for them to run into. It is too dangerous and no, I do not trust them to not run off if they see a rabbit or a loud bang occurs, whatever may happen.

I sometimes take my dog outside off-leash, but only in my parents front yard and only for short periods of time. She always stays by me and will not run off, no matter what she sees. So I guess it can be done, but she might be the exception.
