Shelter Category

is it possible to add a category for shelter posts? i spend quite a bit of time posting for animals in shelters throughout the US. i'd like to start posting for them on this forum as well.

can this category be put into the "pet lovers forums (general)" category? this way it will be readily seen !! there are thousands of animals awaiting rescue/adopts/sponsor/transport....HELP! if they are not adopted or rescued the only other option is DEATH. many shelters still use the inhumane gas method of euthanasia or PTS (put to sleep).

There is a pets classified posting area on this site.....I would say post them there....there are other post from people who have animals for sale. Although you may want to ask a medeator first.

We're working on it. There may be a rescue/shelter section here in the near future ;) . I personally love the idea. Thank you all for caring about the homeless, unloved and those on deathrow.... big {{{{hugs}}}}}}. :)

I would really appreciate it if it really could be added..there are thousands of animals who are awaiting rescue or adopt. Posting on forums such as this one is one of the ways to get the word out about the plight of shelter animals and get some adoptions/rescues going for them. I just ask that this category be solely for the purpose of posting for SHELTER pets. These pets are on death's door the minute they enter the shelter. Time is of the essence and their lives are hanging in the balance. Sometimes people might misunderstand the nature of a category and posts can be made that have nothing to do with that category. I have seen this in other forums and the misuse of the category was overwhelming when you have to weed thru posts that are not pertaining to that category.

Thanks for your consideration and I hope to see this here in the VERY NEAR future. This is a desperate need !!!!

I think a shelter section is a great idea. I hope we get one.
