Magnum Lost Her Seat!

Well Mags...Zoe has zoned in on your spot now LOL! This pic does show a bit how extremely thin Zoe is. I have her eating very, very well and I think she has gained a couple of pounds in the past two weeks. Think she is feeling comfortable in her new home? LOL! Not sure if you can see or not but those dots all over her chest are skin tags. I'm going to have my vet check them and have some of the bigger ones removed.

Well, I think you and Mags both lost your seat on the couch LMBO!. She looks like she's settled in and made herself at home. She is very thin :( .. I cant wait to see her months down the road. What are skin tags Jo?.. and what causes them?. Just look at the size of those paws!!! :eek:

Personally, I believe I see enough room right under her head for a lap to fit! Don't you think she would LOVE to have a lap to lay her head in while somebody scratched her ears?? Bet she would!! In fact, I could almost bet that somebody already does that!

That's a great picture, Justjo! from the earlier photos I thought she might have some greyhound in her. Poor starved baby, she really is a Dane. So thin... thanks for sharing the picture.

Jo, She does look very thin, as Trinity did after pneumonia, she was down to 86 lbs.
Trinity is now about 118 and looking great!!
Keep feeding that girl, she is really beautiful!!

Thanks everyone! The first time I laid eyes on her my evaluation was that she was at or just one level above emaciation level but then her coat was soooo shiny and I knew she was being fed a good food, she was just not eating nearly enough calories. Maybe because of her situation. Danes are not usually very big eaters and they need to be encouraged to eat. She is on a good feeding schedule now and I think she needed to be elevated so it is more comfortable for her.

Jan - skin tags are just benign fibroJHiuhhiuoiugdhfkj LOL! I have them myself. It is a hereditary thing and Danes, dobermans, and a few breeds are susceptable to them. They do need to be watched and checked though. She has a large one, about grape size, hanging from her left inside back leg that I definitely am having removed. She also has some large ones one her chest that should be taken off. The biggest problem is they can tear and bleed like there's no tomorrow so it is best to remove them. Bullwinkle had one growing out of his right cheek about 3 years ago. It was gross! It looked like a worm coming out of an apple LOL! I had that one taken off right away ICK!
