I had a hamster named Tickle, she has been gone for over a year now, but I still miss her. She was my first "real" pet, as in my room, I fed her, cleaned her cage, ect. I had her for one year and six days before she left me. It was trash night. She had a peanutbutter jar that she loved, and she was in it, but she had no shavings in it, whiuch she usually did. I found that she was dead, still no clue why, and my dad came up and out her in a garbage bag! I was too upset to notice, but I am now traumatized by that little thing. The school nurse gave her to me, and I had to email her to tell her what happened. I nearly ruined the keyboard crying so much1 Not to mention, I cried for weeks and was teased at school for "killing the hamster"

our family knows all too well about losing such a precious little life, my 7 yr old lost her hamster just recently.
please dont listen to those awful people who call you those names. You were a caring and responsible person. In your heart be proud of that. let it give you peace of mind.

I am sorry to hear you are still so upset about Tickle, it's understandable. What a perfect little name! She's in a wonderful place - still. Thanks for sharing a bit about her, even the bad parts :( She sounded adorable and spoiled by you! It'll be OK, you have the good memories - do not ever forget them.

I'm sorry for your loss, it's never easy no matter how big or small they are. And as far as the kids in school teasing you, just simply say it was her time to go and that you took very good care of her.
