Lucy was acting strange all morning. She kept pacing the room, running to the hall, just acting really nervous. Then suddenly, she began trying to throw up. I got her over her sheepskin so that it wouldn't get on the rug. She just threw up a little. A spot maybe 2 inches across. It was a yellow liquid. Now we had grandchildren here yesterday evening and 2 of them spent the night. She really loves them, but when 4 of them are together, it's sometimes chaotic and she was a bit nervous. Could this be left over from that? She seemed to eat pretty good yesterday, though she hasn't eaten much this morning. After the episode, I put her in her crate along with her food and water and put her cover over it. Most of the time, if she is nervous in any way, this helps her to calm down. Any ideas? I will keep an eye on her to make sure she is okay the rest of the day. After she calms down a bit, I will open her crate and she can come out whenever she wants to.

The Yellow is bile. Usually from an empty stomach.

Exactly what I was going to say Sunny. I think it can also be caused by an upset, nervous tummy too.

Okay, so I will go cook her some chicken and rice and let her lay on top of me while I nap. Sounds like a winner to me! Thank you!

My DH is ruining this dog!!!! Okay, I have to admit, I'm helping, but my goodness, she is so spoiled she's beginning to smell! When he is on the mid-day shift (11:30am-8 pm) I always cook a big breakfast. Lucy gets an egg, maybe some meat, and usually a biscuit. When DH is on the early morning shift 4 AM-12:30 pm) I usually cook dinner. This dog was holding out for a cooked meal!!!!! Forget the kibble! She wants dinner!! I offered her her kibble and she looked at me like I was nuts. Then she walks over to the fridge, stands there wagging her tail. I just ignored her. She comes over to me, touches my hand with her nose, and goes back to the fridge!!! This dog knows exactly what she wanted. I had to go the route of when we first got her. I mixed some canned puppy food with her kibble and cut up a hot dog in fine pieces and mixed all through it. She was after the hot dog and had to eat all of it to get all the hotdog! At least she ate. A few minutes later, she went in her crate and ate some of her kibble. Don't tell me this dog isn't spoiled. DH always shares whatever he happens to be eating with her and with Lilo. I usually just tell them to go lay down, but no, he shares!! When he is on the mid-day shift Lucy does much better, because throughout the day she will get get her kibble when she is hungry. When he is here all afternoon and evening, she sits patiently and waits for him to get something to eat because she knows she's going to get something. We ate early yesterday and I think that is why she apparently didn't eat yesterday evening. I thought I heard her chomping some kibble, but that must have been something else she ate! No idea what! She's fine now though. We've had dinner, a shower, a good nap and she's in doggie heaven!
