I have lost my beautiful Rufus!!!! He passed away today. My hubby found out in the yard this afternoon. He was in his favorite chillin spot under the oak tree in the back yard. This was totally unexpected!!! He wasn't acting sick or anything. He looked as if he was sleeping at the time. I am totally heartbroken!!!! I loved him so!!

Oh boogey, I will miss you desperatley!!! Even though we will not have our romps at the lake, on the trails, or our walks just around town, I know you will be much better off at the rainbow bridge!! My heart aches boy!! But I know we will be together again!! And you can count on me bringing the tennis ball!!! I love you Rufus!!!!

Oh I am SOOOOOO sorry! Losing him is traumatic enough besides it being unexpected. Do you have any idea why Boogey passed? This is so sad...my hearts and thoughts are with you in your loss. :(

We have no idea why he left us. He was almost 9 yrs old and a very healthy boy!! This is so hard to talk about. I guess it was just his time to go. I have cried all night and feel so numb and sick to my stomach. There is so much I wanna say to him and didn't get the chance to.. I feel like I've been robbed of letting him know my feelings for him!! :`(

I'm so very sorry for your loss. He didn't want you to be sad so he went to his favorite spot to let you know he'd be OK and not to worry.

Sounds like possibly a heart problem if it was so sudden with no warning.

Play and run over the rainbow bridge good boy.

I'm sure your dog will be waiting for you when you get their too and will watch over you in the meantime!

Hold him in your heart!

Hugs and prayers for you and your family during this very sad tme!

So sorry for your loss

Kat, I am so sorry to hear this.:( I know you feel like there are many things you wish you could have said, but please don't feel like you had to verbally tell him. I am a firm believer that pets have a soul, so I know in my heart that my loved one's that have gone to Rainbow Bridge know what is in my heart. Big hugs for you Kat!! Bless your heart for loving him!

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my Jenna (Rottweiler of 10 1/2 yrs) on January 26th and am bearly able to read these posts and offer my condolances. We did the same thing with her pictures, we took them out. I emailed them to all my family members....
It comforts me to know that she's no longer in pain (from double hip dysplasia). We expect very cold temperatures tomorrow and I can now say...."come rain, come cold....My Jenna's safe =)"

I got a sympathy card in the mail from our vet!! I couldn't beleive it. I cried all over again. I didn't know vets did that. I Don't know what I thought but it sure wasn't that they cared as much as they obviousley do. Rufus was such a terror to take to the vet. He was like dr Jekyl and mr Hyde. Really!! He was fine with everyone but the vet himself, I usually wound up injured out of the visits. I have had cuts, dislocated fingers, bruises just to name a few. It was great to see even though he was a pain in the a~~ the vet still cared about him. Made me feel good anyway.

And now my boogey-boy never has to go through that stress again!!!

That is so nice of your vet. You have a good one and he or she cares about what they are doing and their patients.
