I'm starting a store selling funny dog t-shirts.

I'm wondering what places would make sense to advertise?

Does anyone know of dog-related websites that would make sense to partner with?

I'm open to all suggestions. The main thing is figuring out a way to target dog owners....

I'm not trying to spam your message board or anything, just figured that I might be able to find some other pet-related business owners here who can help me.

You can check out my store if you'd like

Hi jaxpunx and welcome.

I don't own a pet related business but wish you the best in yours!. Most of the people that have businesses are in the classified section, so Im going to move your thread there in hopes you will get more responses. Best of luck to you. :)

any feedback you have on the store is helpful as well....just got tore up on another message board by a pit owner who was offended that I used the breed in a pic with the I BITE MEN doggy t shirt....something that I hadn't even thought of, but was still helpful to hear

Hi I run a pet related business. Its not easy advertising but you can list yourself in the yellow pages online. Finding pet business that do reciprocal links is a good way it helps you get more exposure. Most companies want a link back to their website also. You should have business card and even brochures with your information that you can mail out. You can advertise at you pets vet. We do alot of donating to animal shelters and they have all offered to give out my info with their adoption papers. I don't know if that has helped me any since, I really havent donated for the advertisiement. I feel once a pet related business gets off the ground its a very good idea to give back to the less fortunate pets out their. We also always wehere shirts with our Business name on it and we actually have so many people wanting our shirts for our business that we are having them made up to sell. You might think of that since you have a cool name for your business. I try to be very selective on links I put on my site. Since many times children are on my site and I want to create an image in what we believe in other then just selling things. So we dont advertise anything that would make us believe in anyway is a Puppymill, they are a big NO NO to us. Nothing crude, no profanity, anything that might be deemed censored. You can also try advertising in your local area in craigslist. Alot of places to try. If you have any other question feel free to contact me. I wish you great success in your business.
