Is he up top date on vaccines?

Is he on worm preventative

Did he get into anything different, such as the garbage or eat a new food?

Hope he is ok

Keep us posted

Yes he is utd on vaccines, on heartworm, and on the same food. Nothing has changed. The vet took some tests and will get back to me tomorrow I hope. He is not eating or drinking. They gave him an IV today. He now just has blood coming out- no poop. Its absolutely awful.

Thank you. I think I am going to have to take him back to the vet tomorrow for another Iv since he wont eat or drink. I cant give him his medicine either because he has to take it with food. :-(

I am so sorry!! Have you tried giving him boiled chicken? If he takes to the chicken or something, you can put the med in that for him to take it. If he is not drinking water on his own at all , you can syringe it to him. Diarrhea causes dehydration, so I hope he is able to get fluids into him. Poor baby....sending good thoughts and prayers his way.

I have tried feeding him everything (even human food just to see if he would eat it). He wouldnt. I tried chicken, rice, the food the vet gave me, everything. I am so sad and worried about my baby. :-(

They don't know yet...They tested his poop and said nothing was wrong with it. So they want me to bring him in for fluids, medicine, and more evaluation. I hate to leave him overnite but I know its what I have to do for him to get better.

Well I hope they find out what is wrong and get him better quick. The best place for him to be now is in the care of professionals. I will keep you and him in my prayers.

Thank you for the thoughts everyone. I just dropped him off. I am emotionally and physically exhausted. The blood smell in the house is making me sick and I cant get it to go away. I will let you know what the vet says....

That is great that he is home!! Thanks for keeping us updated, but I sure wish they found out what caused him to lose blood. That is very strange, but at least he is home and happy. :)
