Hi all,
I recently posted about our 6 month old kitten, Jack, who was having trouble walking...well we brought him to another vet for a second opinion, but they couldn't find anything out of the ordinary as well...the good news is, that slowly but surely, Jack has made progress and is walking much better now! However, another problem has come up...
This past Wednesday we brought Jack in to be nuetered. We brought him home late Wednesday night...the Vet informed me he had already had a small amount of dinner...well on Thursday, I was walking around and noticed a rather large amount of vomit, mostly digested food, which appeared to be from Jack. I also noticed that there was diarreha in the litter box. We observed Jack the rest of the night, and on Friday...no vomit on Friday, but some more diarreha...today, however, I was home and he has vomited twice....he's still eating and drinking, and is still playful, maybe slightly sluggish, but he doesn't appear "sick"....I called the vet's today, and they told me to bring him in tomorrow if he continues vomiting...has anybody ever heard of or had any experience with this type of problem after a nuetering/spaying? Thanks in advance!!!

vommiting is common with anesthetic although with male cats they only use a local - and do not completely knock them out. Important for the vet to know in case he has future care. Maybe it is just a coincidence. The loose stool could be worms? I would bring a stool sample so they can check it. Is he eating canned food? that could cause it too.

good luck with your baby
