I have recently switched my cats from Purina Vitality to Innova Evo. WOW! What a difference! In just a few weeks I've seen big changes. Their litter box is so much easier to change now, they don't poop as much and no more diahreah. (sp?). And their coats are so much softer! My one cat Samie has short hair, it's never been soft. It used to be like petting your jeans. Now I don't want to stop petting him because he is so darn soft lol. I highly recommend this food. There are no carbs, grains, corn, wheat, etc. The only carb they use is potato. No by products and its made from raw meat.

although a great food, because of the unnaturally high protein content, make sure you are adding water to the food. this will help the kidneys not to be overworked.

although a great food, because of the unnaturally high protein content, make sure you are adding water to the food. this will help the kidneys not to be overworked. The average dog does not need the amount of protein IMO that is in this food. It is more a food for a stictly working dog IMO
It differs greatly from feeding raw/ Barf as their is no moisture like their is in natural raw diets. There is also no research to indicate the long term effects on the kidneys or other vital organs. I agree about adding water and also giving a lot of water throughout the day to help with this issue. If you stay on it for an extended period of time you may want to have bloodwork done to check that the levels are normal.

I agree to wet with warm water stir some ten seconds and serve. Great food, stay away from corn and wheat especially, foods are so mixed with junk bleneded it one must learn to read the small print and pick and choose, u got a good one so stick with it if working well for you. Give good supplements also, pets need vitamins as we do also no matter how good one eats, same as pets they need the supplements to boost the food intake. Bless you for finding the best for your pet. Hope it stays well.

It's for cats, not dogs.

EVO is made for dogs and cats. either case, water should alsways be added. no animal naturally eats that amount of protein, including cats.
