OK please dont get mad/angry at me...angry enough for all of you at myself..my three chaps are not well...had them to the vet said it looks like heat stroke...I am now bathing them every couple of hours and they have ice packs and giving them kool liquids...so really what I want to know is there anything extra I can do for them...they are looking a lot better...have been moved indoors...this is the first time this has ever happened to me...I pride myself on how well they are all taken care of...so if you have any helpful hints or advice...Donna

Wow, sorry to hear Donna. Did the vet have any added advice besides a diagnosis? I've never kept guineas so unfortunately I don't have any advice worth writing, hopefully you'll get some more tips and they will be fine! Please keep us updated. :o

O, I do know about rats out in the heat of AZ though. I did exactly what you are doing now and they were fine, it cooled them off so much to be bathed (even though they FOUGHT about it, they hated the water!). Like I said, I hope they will be ok, GOOD LUCK!

well he just said I had to keep cool liquids up to them...provide really cold water...and keep them cool....he did give them a shout of anitbotics just in case they needed it better to be safe then sorry...plus he said just provide ice bottles so they can curl up next to them if they need it...they are looking a lot better so my efforts are helping....

Great!! I am so glad. I had a Gp from over heat. I was very young and just left him out too long. Devastating. He went quick. There were convulsions I remember. Those long hairs can get hot quick. You are a good mom. Don't worry.
