I've posted a couple of stories on Max before, but I thought I'd give you the entire story and see if I could get any help.
Max is about 11 years old, male, mixed breed (I think mostly finnish spitz, maybe a little chow and corgi in there too). He has a brother, Murphy, who is doing fine. Both of them should weigh around 30 lbs. Murphy weighs about 32 lbs and Max weighs about 50. I know, it's pretty bad. It's our fault for not exercising him more. But there's good news. We have now switched him to a veterinarian-approved food that will help him lose weight. I've also started a new walking routine that involves walks once or twice a day for a fair distance.
But Max still has trouble breathing and I'm not seeing much progress. He walks slow and I'm sure all that extra weight is hard on his feet. So PLEASE...if there's any info you can give me to help speed up the process of weight loss, I'd love to hear it! Thanks!
