With redoing the house and then moving in, I just didn't get all my Christmas decor out this year. Usually there is Christmas everywhere! LOL! This is just a bit of it though. Please forgive the tv being on. DH was watching a ballgame and there was NO turning it off!! LOL!

Happy Hollydays Emily up in Vermont!!
Ladypirate, what beautiful santas!! I love em. And your huge nutcrackers!! The tree is really pretty too. And you say thats only a little. I feel like a scrooge. I have to tell ya I love your cieling. The stippling. We just did ours ourselves and it so did not turn out looking like that. And what a mess-It was snowing in our house.LOL. Hope the move went smooth.
More more more. I want to see more holiday stuff!! Come on folks start managing your attachments!!!:) haha

Thank you Pepsi! I love my Santas. We usually get a new one every year at the after Christmas sales! LOL! I've started several times to change my decor over the last 14 years, but just can't give up my Santa's. I'm hoping this year to get one of the larger ones to stand on the floor. Next year, hopefully even the back deck will be all lit up!
The ceilings in this house were already done when we moved in. We just redid the walls and the floors. I'm sure they need to be painted or whatever you do to clean them, but I figure as long as I don't paint any of the walls white, they will look really clean! LOL! We haven't yet figured out how to do that. Any ideas on how to do that would be greately appreciated!

We painted ours white. The good ole standby. We mixed it up with black trim and doors. Sounds kind of dramatic that 70s' show but it turned out rich and clean looking. It was less expensive also. I love the faux painting that is so hot right now. You can overlap colors with different texture using sponge or brush angles/dabbing. My Sister lives up north and has beautiful home that she and hub built themselves. I particularly like a room she did with red and brown faux on walls and trimed at floor and cieling with a cherry wood. I like the blue on the walls you have now. You could overlap/sponge it with a lighter or darker color to add depth. Or maybe tape off lines or shapes using an accent color you like. I did the closets in our hall white with raised black areas-looks pretty good if I do sayso myself!!haha. I am no interior designer though. My taste has been called "Kitchy" before. Kitchy is a nice word for tacky:p

Beautiful tree Katie. It is huge!! I love it. And what a great fireplace. I would eat dirt for a fireplace.Your Grandmothers nativity scene looks like the bone fired USA pottery I collect. What a great open, airy home you have. Thanks for sharing. Your pup looks happy and warm.

I keep thinkin if I keep insulting the look of the tree, MY hubby will finally get tired and get me the one I want.hehehe. Although it's not worked so far, this is the 2nd yr for the tree. Oh I might as well give up. Unless anyone else might have suggestions on how to get him to buy a new one!!! All help appreciated!!:D

Kat, go to the after Christmas sale, pick out the one you want and take it home!! Then throw the other tree away, put this one in it's normal storage place and probably he will never know the difference! That is until next year when you put the tree up! We got our tree when we were living in an apartment and had to downsize. We paid a whopping $20 for it at Walmart. I think I might go get a new one at the sales this year. Can't beat the prices. I know we are going to get some lights for outside for next year, garland, etc. I love the after Christmas sales!

Thanks Robyn, I used to like the after christmas sales, but since I got sick I don't like to get into the crowds like I used too. I can't stay on my feet for a very long time. Maybe I can get my daughter to go for me!!! I'll think of a guilt trip to put her on so she will.

guilt trips!! You girls are evil. haha. Love you tree Amanda. You have an itsy bitsy one like me. Easier to take down-thats how I look at it. Man I am FINALLY done doing Xmas stuff. Thought I would be artsy and make everyone a little something along with other gifts. I turned it into a major fiasco. I made Xmas sugar cookies for my sister and well, I will just say I am glad she has pooches. I am not sure even they will eat them. Oh well it is the thought right. :p
