A picture taken from the daily 4:30am feeding frenzy.

I need to find my camera so that I can show you all the babies, but for now I think the seven cats will suffice.

Wow seven cats and all eating out of their own dish. When I feed the crowd at work I use 3 - 4 dishes but they all want to be at the same one for fear one is getting something better then the other. Until eventually a few get crowded out and move over to the next one.

Great pictures -- now we need pictures of the babies!

It wasn't easy to get them to eat from their own dish at first, but they eventually got used to the idea. Sparkie though, (the fat one in the center) will finish off the food in the other bowls if we don't pick them up right after the other cats are finished eating.

They don't all sleep with my, only one of them does. In fact all but one sleep in their crates at night (having 7 cats ripping around the house can make it a little difficult to sleep) We thought it was going to blow over like a lead ballon with them but apparently they don't mind it.

Before they went to bed in their designated crates I would only have 2 - 3 cats sleeping on my bed at night, as my dog Whisper sleeps on the bed with me and only three of the cats like the dog. The others just tollerate him.

In the morning though there are usually a whole bunch sleeping on it.

Yes, food can get expensive for this many cats, even more so since we have to buy the good brands and not the cheep brands because we don't want them getting kidney problems. Paying the vet for shots is one thing but paying the vet for something that could have been avoided if given the proper food is another (not that we won't do it, just that it's frustrating knowing that a 1000$ bill could have been prevented just by feeding them the right food) That's what it was the last time one of our cats had kidney problems. We had gotten into a car crash and several members of the family were forced to quit their jobs, so we bought cheeper food for the cats to save on money and almost lost one of them. Sunshine had started acting diffrently and then began to pee blood, because it was a Sunday there was only one vet open and that was the emergency clinic which is actually very expensive. He also had to stay there several nights = more money and it eventually added up to around 1000$ but even though we were really low on money we were not willing to loose a member of the family. It was tough and the cats were eating better then us for a long time, but it was worth it as we still have our Sunshine with us. So ya... no more cheep food for kitties.

The price of food is actually nothing compared to doing the litter boxes everyday. That's not expensive mind you, it just isn't fun.
