trying to post picture

i followed the directions for "attachments" but i don't think it worked. got a message "your file 672.5 KB bytes exceeds the forum's limit of 50.0 KB for this filetype. can i do anything else?

The file size that you are trying to upload is too large, as the error states. You need to resize it using an image editing program like Adobe photoshop or I think Microsoft paint also allows you to resize images. It must be only 50 KB.

Otherwise you can go to www.photobucket.com and host your pictures from that website and then copy+paste the url to this site, that's what I do that way the pictures can be bigger; 50 KB is not a very big picture.

Photobucket.com is a free picture hosting site. I found it much easier to save my pictures there and copy/paste them here. The directions in the picture forum cover doing it that way too.

Photobucket is really easy to use. Just upload your picture there, then once it tells you it's uploaded successfully, scroll down to your picture, go to the IMG line, right click to copy, then come to petlovers to create a new thread or go to the thread you wanted your picture on, hit reply to thread, right click again and paste. When you do your preview, you should be able to see your picture! Looking forward to the pictures!

i followed the instructions for photobucket. i joined it, and i got lucky's picture to show up on it. i went to the IMG line, right clicked to copy, but when i get back to petlovers and go to paste, i right click and there is no paste option.

Well, I would try it one more time, it sounds like your computer just didn't catch or recognize that you pressed on the "copy" option. If you press Copy, there will be a paste option. I would say just try it one more time.

If not you can also highlight the IMG line and instead of rightclicking, press the ctrl (control- very bottom left corner of your keyboard) and the "c" botton at the same time. That also automatically copies the text that is highlighted. Then when you open a thread here to paste the picture into, you can either right-click to paste, or press the same CTRL button but instead of pressing "c" with it, press "v". That will work if you do it right.
