I used to have a guinea pig rescue and our top number was 70 at one time.
By the time we closed we had adopted out about 200 or more guinea pigs.
We have a guinea pig now (just one) and his name is Spike. He's a black
mix.

Hi there! I love GP's too!! My dear Petunia died a year ago. She was 7. She had the impacted bowel problem that they sometimes get. I had to clean her out frequently. Poor baby. Took her to the vet to get her nails trimmed when very young and he broke her two front feet!! She was my little crippled piggy. I am working on the old man to let me have one. My bird really misses Petunia. She does GP noises all of the time.
You are a saint. I am sure so many people get tired of them easily-the pooh factor. What a great person you are. One thing that was suprising to hear about GP's is that in the Carribbean they put them into chicken coops to kill rats. I thought "wow, they actually have a job, a purpose"LOL.
