I went into a small pet shop a couple weeks ago just to check it out and look around...yeah right. Of course I fell in love with a little frightened Parrakeet that is all yellow that my grandson has named Sunshine. So Sunshine came home with me.....hubby just smiled and shook his head. :)

Oh Judy!! Sunshine is a ray of sunshine to my eyes! What a cutie, and I can see why you couldn't go home without Sunshine......:D How sweet!!

I know how that goes..we have our new babies and went into the petsrore yesterday and found the sweetest albino keet but i couldnt take it home..we have thenew babies:( but since im lettin my son keep 2...maybe after xmas we'll see...either way i love the yellow...congrats!!

I agree Gina, Sunshine has been very lucky to catch Judy's eye. He looks as if he is posing for the camera there. So cute!

Thanks for all the nice compliments! I will be much happier when I get her tamed down. I thought Louie could bite. HA! Sunshine likes to get a little chunk of meat and not turn loose....talk about torcher :eek: I am being very patient and I am sure in time she will come around......hmmmm....maybe Patrick would like to help tame her....ya think????? :D

VERY cute! I have not dealt with many parakeets, but I have never seen a COMPLETELY yellow one, how gorgeous!
Good luck with taming her, don't lose too many limbs in the process, lol!

Good golly!... how'd I miss this thread :confused: . CONGRATULATIONS JUDY!!!!!!. Sunshine is gorgeous. You have such a big heart and that little spark of sunshine couldnt have found a better home. Give the warden hugs for letting you keep your new baby ;) .
