My grandma used to live in an apartment complex run by a very idiotic landlord. Well this landlord simply HATED cats and would not allow my grandma to feed them at all, not even outdoors. And during the winter months when it snowed my grandma also was not allowed to make a bed for the cats even if it was outside, so the cats were left in the cold:( I just needed to get this off my chest...does anyone else know a landlord like that?

Fuzzy Kitten,

I agree with John.. There is Lot's of cruel & nasty people in this world where ever you turn!............
Alot of people Drop & run ect..Like all the cats & Kittens that are dropped off in the country cause alot of people figure IF there is a barn.. The cats & Kittens will be warm & get fed.. Not all the time it happens that way..

Least of all not at our place!! They all get fed no matter what time of the year it is. .......... Gosh!! I could go on & on about this kind of thing,
I'm sure everyone who is reading this understands what I'm trying to say here..

Having lived on a farm, we rarely fed the cats there, they learned to live on a farm and find food for themselves. However, I was very young, and not on the farm much myself, I would have fed the cats. I understand why my grandfather didn't feed them, he simply couldnt afford it, nor could he afford the animals to keep reproducing and crowding his property. So I can also see where the landlord comes from. BUT, there is no reason he couldn't take them, or let someone take them to a shelter where they would have a chance, especially in the winter!

We aren't allowed to have pets, but we have 3 cats and 4 aquariums. Our landlord is never around, ever, so we really dont have to worry. I do worry about when we move. Hopefully we'll be able to find pet friendly landlords. *sigh*

I Am Glad I Own My Home, And I Can Take Of Whatever I Want To Take Care Of. Lots Of People Are Cruel And Nasty, And Unfortunately We Can Not Change It. Ther Are Good People To, Let's Not Forget Them.:) :)

Is there ever a good landlord about animals. A dog can make your day honey, they ask for nothing, just feed me and a hug, they do not complain, they just love and I love them so much. Bad landlord. BAAA

I think people who let cats out are cruel as cats dessimate the local bird population.

This discussion is about "cruel landlords." I countered by saying that people who allow their cats outside are equally cruel and are the actual cause of this problem.

There Are Alot Of Little Old Women In This World, Who Like To Feed Cats That Idiots Have Thrown Away, If The Cruel Landlord Does Not Allow These Ladies To Feed These Cats, Then More Beautiful Birds Will Die, Because The Cats Have To Eat Something. I Believe We Had A Misunderstanding, I Thought That You Were Ditching The Cats, And They Have To Eat, We Will Never Stop All The People In This World Who Throw Animals Away, But If They Are Out There And You Have The Means To Feed Them, Then Feed Them!

Ok, I agree with you JHTRock. Preferably, we should find homes for these feral cats.
