Question about rescues.

I have been interested in helping unwanted birds and other animals for a long time now. I still live at home with my parents and I am saving money to start my own life. I would like to know if anybody knows of available volunteer work out there in New Jersey. I have been to many sites on the internet that are supposed to do this, however every one of them just wants money, which I do not have a lot of. Is there any way to donate time?

I would contact vets around your area and ask them if they know of any rescue groups that need help etc. There are about two rescue groups that use my vet, and they always like volunteers to foster animals, drive them around, and other things.

Also check on the internet. Search engines type in your state followed by bird rescue centers.
