I signed it and sent it to about 10-12 other people... This has to stop! I can't believe how cold-hearted these people are. Oh and you'd better believe that there will be some letters written - I bought a couple things from J.Crew before, no fur (i'd never buy fur), but they don't deserve a cent from me or anyone else out there!

What the heck is wrong with this world. You said not to look at the video but I started it I couldnt finish it. Its worse then horrible. How stupid are people. Right now I am looking at my Nicholas as I type and he is smiling wagging his tail and it just makes me cry to know their is such meaness in this world of ours. Why the heck anyone would want to wear a dead animal of any sort on their back is beyond me. Besides the fact of such a horrible existance before they do their horrible deeds. I ca only wish worse on all of these horrible people and will never buy from those companies again! I signed and told them I hope they hear the barks and howls and meows of all these animals until they change their policy to no fur.

THAT WAS .......DISGUSTING. I wish that there was a stronger word to describe what that video did to me. My heart absolutely BROKE. In fact, it's hard to see the screen right now because I'm crying.
But even with the pain that it caused me, it was something that I needed to see. I will NEVER set foot in that store again. And as soon as I'm done typing, I'm going to throw the one sweater that own from J. Crew into the trash. I don't care how much I paid for it - I could never wear it again anyway without thinking about that video.
Thanks John. I plan on sending it to the entire vet school tomorrow.

Very good!! Thanks Sassy!! I hate that you guys have to watch that video, but it gets the point across.
What would be cool is to write or email jcrew and tell them what you just told us "I'm going to throw the one sweater that own from J. Crew into the trash"
Thanks again Sassy :)

I finally brought myself to watch the video. :( I am not crying, but my heart has dropped to my stomach and I am shaking. I can't believe what I just saw. John, do you know of any companies other than J. Crew that use dog and cat fur? I will be sure NEVER to support this industry. I would not own fur anyways, but I do not want to own anything from any company who supports this crap.

John, you have probably already seen this but I found an article about the dog & cat fur trade in general, not to just J. Crew. Here is a link. It says that the dog and cat fur was banned from being imported to the US in 2002 but I guess some people who check it do not realize what it really came from? It mentioned some about what it has been used on (like those freaky cats you can get from giftstores that look real).

Come on guy's....it hasn't been proven that J.Crew uses dog or cat fur in their clothing line or that it's fur even comes from China.
J.Crew states that it's fur comes from North America, not China. There are tests that will confirm if the fur is from cats and dogs. Why doesn't PETA show the public some proof instead of making unproven accusations? Plain and simple....PETA is upset with J.Crew because they sell fur. Bringing dogs and cats into the equation just boosts their campaign and press coverage.
It's true, China sells dog and cat fur, but instead of attacking one company that may or may not of bought some fur from China, we should work to get all fur from China banned.

i'd heard about it from someone else before. but i didn't know the full extent of it=\. i'm not terribly surprised. i was able to bear throught he video. to understate is to say "its not pretty".=(
i knew they ate dogs and cats over there.... but to use their coats? i mean, its reasonable only because they're already killing and eating the poor thing, but i don't think Americans appreciate that some of that chinese leather comes from animals just like their pets.
i'm trying to be rational and understand what goes through these people's minds??? sigh.
i read on to other animals products, and that was "not pretty" either.
the only comfort i have is *Karma*. just think of the bad karma they're racking up. ;o)
i'll pass the link on.....=(

J.Crew states that it's fur comes from North America, not China.
The actual statement from J. Crew was that they get the majority of their fur from North America, not all of their fur. I agree that we should work on not obtaining any fur at all from China. Good luck with our government though. The U.S. has historically overlooked atrocities and cruelty to humans there, let alone helping the poor animals out.
J.Crew sells fur.... period.
This says it all. Why did they go back to using fur? It concerns me that I have been reading how fur is "in" this fall. For whom and why?? I think it is a terrible fashion statement.

From web site:
"All of J.Crew's fur is imported from China, which means that shopping there potentially supports the hideously cruel dog and cat fur industry. PETA has pleaded to meet with J.Crew CEO Millard Drexler, begging him to consider the plight of animals being tortured and killed in unthinkable ways overseas; yet our pleas, and the animals' cries, have met with silence and inaction. The bottom line is, because dog and cat fur is so often mislabeled, if you're buying fur from J.Crew or from any other retailer, there's no way to tell whose skin you're wearing."

I just went to the site and I learned a lot. I never thought that wearing wool, silk, and down affects animals that way.. I am now going to start buying all manmade things. No more down, silk, wool etc. If anyone wants to read the article, if you click on the clothing link at that website, you can read all about the different materials and where it comes from.

My gosh, I really did miss out while I was Nascar'ing.
All J.Crew cares about is their billion dollar rake in. You think they don't take advantage of getting pelts the cheapest way they can? If it wasn't for the discusting thought of all the animals that suffer to line the CEO's pockets, I would chuckle at that statement.
