Thanks. Only ones to really worry about around here are Copperheads. Already delt with one of them. At the Southern end of here you might see a Cottonmouth, but other then them two, all the others are harmless

Way to go John - You are awesome! Humanely removing/relocating animals and snakes for free is great!
Did you have to go to special classes or get special certifications for all the different types of animals you could come in contact with?

Thanks. A lot of people charge for doing this, but with all the red necks around here, they would just as soon shoot a groundhog then pay even $5.00to have it removed  so to make sure, I will do this for free, Tips accepted LOL.
Here in MD you just had to fill out a questionnaire.
I forgot one more thing. Business cards!

John I need you down here bad!! We have snakes all over the place. They try and get in the house. Just this morning I went out back to water plants, when I bent down to turn the hose on I woke up a snoozing indigo. He was on the window track. Scared him to death. He jumped up and slapped my arm. Took off into the yard. I stepped on a 4 foot pink rat snake not to long ago and found a cotton mouth bathing in a bucket of water. Aaaaauuuggghhh!! Actually the indigo should keep all of the other snakes out. They are supposed to be very terratorial.
I t is a great thing you are doing and all for free. You are truely a big hearted guy.
Hey Birdluver, I am not sure but I think it depends on what you are rescueing. My brother in law is an Ornithologist and has spent his life relocating birds and their prey for one organization or another. Now he relocates habitats for contracting companies before they build. He freelances, makes big bucks. He has his Masters degree. I think as with most careers a degree of some sort usually will get you bigger pay. But that is not always the case. You can get lucky.

Hey John thats great. My husband is deathly afraid of snakes. He thinks if he walks with a big stick it will keep them away. Good thing we really dont have any here on Long Island where I live. When I lived in Florida, my MOm opened the front door and a rattlesnake was resting its head on the front door molding. My mom ran and hid in the house. Down their the housing association would shoot them. So what you are doing is so great. If you want to advertise your place just tell me what you want. I will put you on my front page of my website. Not sure how many people by you go to my site but its an option. Great things you do.
