I am personally against hunting for sport and "fun", I find it deplorable that someone thinks killing animals is fun.

But what about killing for food, eg if you were stranded somewhere, and you needed to kill something to survive. Personally, I wouldn't do that either, unless I had no choice at all, and even then I'd regret doing it.

Whats your opinion on hunting for food?

I think we all must do what we have to do to survive. I dont know what I'd do if I was in a situation... and hope I never have to find out. ;)

For food I would do it. But only for food.

The only problem with being stranded is First how you going to kill it! And second, how you going to cook it

I'm sure almost anywhere you were stranded you could find berries, and such to eat.

Your second question: Hunting for food: You can hunt at Safeway, food lion, Giant, ect ect

Deplorable? Really? I'm personally not a hunter, but I will say that venacin is really tastey, as is elk, aligator, and I enjoy fish too. Here's the thing; hunting is also a help to deer population control. And Mr. Olexa, let's assume "we" were stranded in a place where we did need to hunt to survive. Let's imagine a place like Alaska, or a desert. You know, places where berries don't grow, or a place where the berries aren't exactly edible. Seeing as posionus berries and other "fruits" (note: Fruit is just the reproductive organs of a plant, and aren't all suitable for human consuption) make up a large percentage of those tha grow. You may get serious diarrhea or vomiting, which will then make you de-hydrated and you'll die anyway, especially if you can't find a water source other than mud. Would you rather die than harm an animal? I for one would make a bow out of oak and plant strips, or sharpen a striaght stick and spear my prey. Winning a hard core survialist training course sure was helpful, even though I live in suburbia and will never ever be in that situation.

Not to be mean or anything. Why do people keep brining up the same topic?. We all talked about it in another thread.
