Several months ago, we were told our cats had to change to a "better" brand of cat food after one of our cats (Jack) developed urinary tract problems. We slowly changed over to Iams and then the real problems started. Our cats rarely keep this food down, and when they do the results are not what you would hope for.
We finally found a food that our cats can not only eat, but actually made a real difference to them. They are now healthier and happier than they have ever been and our vet is thrilled with Jack's progress.
If any one else has had this problem, I'd advise you to go to this web site:

As I said, feeding has been a real problem for us, and I hope that by posting this, I can save other people the worry that we went through.

I am not good at cat food that much. I know 9 lives, whiskas, etc are not good for cats. However, I thought Iams, Eukanuba were considered good brands? My cats are on Eukanuba Prescription because of my Aby has kidney problems

Iams and Eukanuba are owned by Proctor & Gamble now so they have begun to cheapen their foods.

Neither Science diet, Iams nor Eukanuba are good foods.
If the first ingredients are not a meat surce or are closely followed by corn and other fillers it really is not considered a good food

Things to avoid feeding your cat are foods with

corn
soy
wheat
by products
food colorings/dyes

a good food has a quality meat source as the first ingredient and a quality grain as well
