Mr. P. has created this special forum for those who want to share their thoughts and feelings about the loss of a beloved pet; or to post a memorial/tribute to that special creature. To those who find themselves visiting this very special forum I would like to express my sympathy for your loss. I would also like to express how happy I am for you that you have experienced the joy, love and loyalty that a special pet brings to our lives and for that will always have a special place in your heart. Unfortunately this is one of those unavoidable events in life and a time that everyone who shares their lives with a pet must one day face. This forum is meant to provide a respectful sanctuary for those seeking peace, compassion and condolences on their loss. So please feel comfortable in sharing your feelings of grief, memories and tributes to those wonderful pets that have graced your life. I sincerely trust that all the members of this board will make every effort to keep this special forum the place it is meant to be and will respectfully support those who come here to share their grief. God Bless you all.

I am going to post "The Rainbow Bridge" poem below for all to read who visit this place of Mourning & Remembrance.

Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

At this time I am going to close this particular thread, in order that it may serve as an introduction to this forum for all who visit. This way each person who visits to pay tribute to a lost pet may begin their own individual thread so their pet has it's own special tribute. God Bless All that find themselves visiting this forum.
