melon seeds

I have a Kakrekie. When ever we have melon he loves to share. But when I prepare it and scrape the seeds away Im sure that he could have them but do I need to prepare them first??:p

you can give them fresh, or wash em and bake them to dry out, that way itwont spoil :)

My Parrot loves pumpkin seeds too. We usually roast them so that they will store for a while.

I know apple seeds are bad for birds.... I do give cooked pumpkin seeds but dont give them melon (watermelon, canalope or honeydew) seeds... I scrape them off and throw them away.... dont know why.. I just do. ;)
