 My light yellow with very light shades of brown cockatiel is acting so crazy it crouches down with its behind in its food bowl and wiggles every which way you can think of making a weird noise like squeaking?

How old is your bird? It sounds like your bird may be having "hormones" kick in and that noise might be a type of mating call. A lot of our birds tend to act kind of crazy when this happens.

Can you post a pic of your bird? That will help a little with taking a stab at whether it is a boy or girl. Not the most conclusive way to sex them, but there are avid Tiel keepers here that may be able to make a good guess.
Luther is a male (positive sexing through blood tests) and does funny things all the time. He will sit in his bowl and make the funniest low noises.....then hop out and argue with the bowl......lol. He's a nut....but that is why I love him so much.:D

Hi laylajay and welcome:)
I've heard that if 'tiels have a large orange circle on the side of their face its a male... dont know if thats true though. The best way is to DNA test. I was thinking what dlaura posted on the behavior.
Female 'tiels usually have bars on the underside of their tails, while males don't. I think mutations can sometimes mess this up, but it's pretty reliable. Kinda sounds male to me from the behavior..
